In Romania, three foreign students and the Romanian student Linsey are being questioned by the director of the local university and his assistant. They are chosen for a research project about the live of prince Vlad. Linsey owns a mysterious necklace stolen by an ancestor from Vlad's grave. Linsey wants to return the necklace to the grave. In the meanwhile a cult of Vlad worshipers is looking for that necklace. They meet Ilona on their way to the castle. She is from the midevil time and is brought to the present day by the necklace. She tells the group that she is on the run for Vlad. Nobody believes her until the real Vlad shows up.
